  Dollhouse door - Entrance to your dream house  
 
Doors are the inviting arms of any house. Likewise a dollhouse is incomplete without its doors. The dollhouse door provides a sense of fulfillment. Dollhouse comes in various variety, shapes, designs and colors. All you have to do is to select the right door for your dream dollhouse.

Most of the doll house are simple and practical in construction. The very important thing related with the doors is to be sure to check the size opening of the doll house so that the door will fit. It is better to paint the door before it is glued with the opening of the doll house. It will helpful if you planning to install doorknobs, locks, doorknockers, or other hardware. Doors can be classified under two section as:

  • Interior doors: Interior doors come in many elegant style and sizes. They provide a finished look to the opening of the doll house.  Paint the door with the same color applied on the wood trim with which it be glued in. All the hardware and wallpapers should be glued on the door before it is installed in the doll house.

  • Exterior doors: Exterior doors also come in variety of designs and sizes. They provide a complete look to the exterior of your doll house. Unlike interior doors they should also be painted before they are glued with doll house.

 

Tips:

  • Before installing doors decide first what kind of door you actually want; exterior door or interior door.
  • Always check the size of the doll house opening to see if the door will fit.
  • Paint the door before it is fixed with the dollhouse frame.
  • Install door knobs, hardware, locks before it is fixed.
  • All wiring, wallpapering, flooring and carpeting should be finished before the interior doors are glued in place.
  • Decide which way you want the door to open, so you will know which side of the wall to install the door.
